The Personal Assistant Training Scheme (PATS) aims to provide the following valuable opportunities for its student participants:

  To enhance English proficiency

  To enhance cross-cultural understanding

  To broaden one's social and personal perspectives

  To obtain advice for careers and professional development

  To build up useful networks for future career

The Scheme will be operated from the beginning to the end of a calendar year. Each participating student will be matched to an expatriate corporate executive as mentee. Both the mentor and mentee are given the autonomy to decide on the format of how the scheme should be carried out. While no specific rules are in place, mentor and mentee are encouraged to meet regularly so that the objectives of the Scheme can be fulfilled.

All mentors are senior expatriate executives based in Hong Kong. What they share in common is the desire to help young people by sharing their skills, knowledge and experience.

The Personal Assistant Training Scheme is open to all full-time penultimate year undergraduate students from all disciplines to apply. Application details will normally be sent to this group of students at the beginning of each calendar year from the Career Planning and Development Centre through mass email.
