  What?  
   

Recruitment talk is one of the activities of the campus recruitment exercise launched by the prospective employers who intend to recruit students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong; Company executives such as partners, senior corporate staff, human resources professionals and line managers are invited to participate in the talks;

Information regarding company background, corporate structure, nature of jobs available for application, selection criteria, training opportunities, career path of the positions are explained in details by the speakers to the students;
Corporate literature and application forms are distributed during the talks.

 
       
  Why?  
   

Recruitment talk is a golden opportunity for students to familiarize themselves with the organizational structure, screening requirements and career development opportunities of the prospective employers. All applicants are required to attend;

Recruitment talk also provides an interactive environment for both the recruiters and the potential applicants to gain a mutual understanding with each others.

 
       
  When?  
   

Recruitment Talks are organized from mid-September to early May every year;
Most of the big companies tend to have their Recruitment talks held during the first term of the academic year.

From September to December 2000, 29 recruitment talks were held by the Career Planning & Development Centre and there were 5,669 students participated.

 
       
  Where?  
   
Most of the talks are held on campus for the sake of convenience for students.
 
       
  How to Register for the Recruitment Talks?  
   
Students have to register through our On-line registration system before they go for the talk
